Breaker Stadium hosted Marina, Seaside, Trinity Christian, and York for the final meet of the regular season. Serving as a warm-up for the league finals just one week away, this meet was an opportunity to gauge overall readiness. And let’s just say it now: the Breakers are READY.
The girls team set the tone with 11 first-place finishes, led by freshman superstar Izzy Bertolucci, who claimed three individual wins and added a fourth victory as part of the 4x400m relay team. The Breaker girls dominated, toppling Marina 92-8 and Seaside 82-19.
For the boys team, their strength shone in the field events, taking first place in every event except pole vault and triple jump. The Breakers swept the top three spots in both the long jump and high jump. While not as dominant on the track as the girls, the boys' depth stood out, with numerous second- and third-place finishes. Their combined efforts proved overwhelming for the competition, defeating Marina 89-34 and Seaside 96-34.
Next week, the Breakers head to Seaside for their chance to claim the league championship.
